Yellowjackets is the king of the flies meets lost: a plane crash in 1996 left a high school football team in the Canadian wilderness for 19 months. Although they claim that nothing has happened other than fighting for survival, the flashback shows that the girls have become completely barbaric in the deep winter. At the premiere of the show, the audience saw them start to kill each other and complete the ceremonial murder led by a turbaned figure with antlers. But who is this queen of antlers? The theoretical thinking of these Yellowjackets is which girl led the team to become a cruel cult organization.

Warning: The spoilers through Yellowjackets season 1 episode 5 are as follows. The most practical starting point is to consider who these survivors are. Twelve people survived the plane crash: the assistant coach was the only adult who survived, even though his leg was amputated; the other two non-team members, Travis and Harvey, the son of the head coach; others Nine people are team members: Jackie, Shauna, Taissa, Van, Lottie, Laura Lee, Mari, Natalie and Misty.

But obviously, there are only eight in the scene of the queen of antlers (or nine if you count the one roasted over an open flame). All eight people are completely movable in the snow. Although the audience has never seen the face of No. 9, it is clear that it is a team member.

No one is one-legged, and Ben is crossed off the list; fans can assume that he has not survived winter. (His frozen corpse may have given the girls a taste of meat.) Also, this is the queen of antlers, not the king, so the problem is not Travis. Harvey is too young. Misty is also out, because she is the eighth masked member to show meat.

We can also rule out whose body was eaten in that scene. Fans suspect that the late team leader Jackie was the victim of the necklace on the corpse. However, there is a team member who is more similar to the body, and this show does not follow anyone: Mary. But whether she is a victim or not, Mary's lack of screening time also guarantees that she may not be the queen of antlers. Despite more backstory, Fan and Laura Lee seem unlikely. They are likely to join, Van follows Tai's leadership, Laura Lee follows Lottie, but they are not the leader.

This is who it might be:

Like Van and Laura Lee, it is unknown whether Lottie survived the wilderness. However, the girls' ritual behavior and mysterious symbols indicate that she is the leader. Lottie showed a supernatural tendency in the surrender scene. This makes it a logical path for her to become the queen of antlers, and the possibility of her "possession" becoming a mental illness is very high. However, without knowing the truth, it is not surprising that religious girls like Laura Lee adore Lottie and others, especially if it keeps them away from the menu.

The four women who were confirmed to have survived the long winter and returned home are the most obvious candidates. But we already know that this is not Misty, so Shauna, Natalie and Tai are left. TBH, Natalie is a bit like a long shot. Putting aside her shotgun abilities, Natalie is a follower, not a leader. One can see her survival instincts come into play and persuade Travis (and Harvey) to join her, even if the ceremony is not attractive. This can also explain Travis' final message: Nat is right. Survival needs to join, even if every instinct tells you not to join.

Tai entered the wilderness with a reputation for being cruel. She injured Allie and kept her away from the team, thereby improving their chances in the national team. In addition, she could have easily allowed people to join her: she made Fan a potential lover, and Xiao Na's pregnancy secret could protect her. Misty and Laura Lee are easily lined up, and Nat will reluctantly follow behind, and Travis will follow. Future candidates for the Senate of New Jersey fit the bill. She also has a vision; although fans have not seen it in Girls' Generation, adult Tai can see wolves wherever they go. Suppressing the memory of leading a cannibal cult may have this effect on a woman.

The undisputed protagonist of the show is Shauna, and the protagonist of the show is the queen of antlers, right? She is the first woman to be introduced today, and her story (and love affair with Adam) is an important plot line that separates others from others. In addition, Shauna called Tai about the reporter and asked her to "handle it", which is the style of the gang boss.

Jackie is not a leader. When there is a crisis on the court, just like Ellie breaks her leg, she will freeze. She is lazy and complains. Xiao Na had to kick her ass to make her do anything. However, Jackie is a competitor because it is easy to manipulate her into positions of power that she does not hold. The head coach claimed that he made her a "team leader" because she has the je ne sais quoi, but in fact he has no competition. Shauna or Tai use Jackie as the puppet of the Antler Queen, because other girls will follow her, but in fact, they are the ones who give orders. It seems very likely. Then, when Shauna and/or Tai finish eating her, Jackie becomes the last meal. This can also explain the necklace on the dead girl. Jackie is exactly the kind of person who bestows it on the hapless girl, she draws short straws with actions that "may be in your favor".

Season 1 of Yellowjackets will continue to show new episodes on Showtime every Sunday at 10 PM Eastern Time.
