Fayette County, Tennessee-The Tennessee Highway Patrol said that one person was killed in a car accident along Interstate 40 in Fayette County on Tuesday morning.

It happened at the 32-mile mark along I-40 near Airline Road. Investigators told us that the accident involved a tractor trailer and a van. They did not explain what caused the accident.

The truck driver died on the spot. Investigators said that the driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.
