More than 180,000 fans participated in the Life Is Beautiful Music Festival, including Billie Eilish, Green Day, Megan Thee Stallion and other performances in downtown Las Vegas.

"It feels like the dream I had many times last year," Billie Eilish told the sold-out crowd when she ended her beautiful life in 2021 in downtown Las Vegas on Sunday night. More than 180,000 people who participated in the three-day music and art festival responded to this desire to perform or participate in large-scale live events. This not only marked the return of mass gatherings to Las Vegas, but also opened up Eilish’s " Happier than ever before" World Tour.

Since its launch in 2013, "A Beautiful Life" has become one of the cornerstone live experiences of the city. After last year's event was cancelled due to the pandemic, when tickets went on sale in March, its return was sold out in 37 minutes. As in previous years, the Board of Directors of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) contributed $150,000 to sponsor and promote the festival. But this year, for the first major festival in a city built on luxury events, local support is even more important, as these events will be absent for most of the 16 months.

"We are the first festival to launch a lineup and say,'We are going to do this,'" said Craig Nieman, the festival's head of music and live performances. "I think this really ignites a little hope and vitality in this industry, and makes people feel,'Hey, let's get out, we can do this.'"

Over the past three days, avid festival audiences packed the 18-block city footprint of Life is Beautiful with sets of Glass Animals, Illenium, and St. Vincent, as well as stand-up comedies by Sarah Cooper and Sam Jay, and new street artists such as Criola. Murals, Amy Sol and Camile Walala, and pop-up restaurants from local chefs and bartenders, including omakase dinner series, cocktail school and open fire picnic.

The COVID-19 agreement requires all participants to be vaccinated or undergo a negative test within 72 hours, but because the festival is held outdoors, they are not subject to the requirement to wear masks.

At around 2:45 pm on Friday, the first-comers braved the temperature of almost three digits to participate in the mindfulness meditation led by Deepak Chopra. The meditation will soon be transformed into an EDM-focused Buddha Rimont stage. The smaller, more private Huntridge stage usually hosts emerging performances, and in her Las Vegas premiere, Noah Cyrus gave an affectionate performance. The downtown stage performance included alum Brittany Howard-festival partner Justin Werniger expressed his love on social media-LANY and Tame Impala. On the eclectic Bacardi stage, Willow Smith and Megan Thee Stallion held two of the most popular concerts of the night. They also held a holiday party at the Marquee nightclub in the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Dua Lipa appeared there unexpectedly. Jhay Cortez appears inside Bacardi Art Motel-surrounded by stunning neon artwork from Spanish artist Spidertag and muralist Antonyo Marest, curated by Just Kids-this is an intimate scene that marks the entrance of Life is Beautiful Latin genre. Las Vegas’ top art attraction Meow Wolf’s Omega Mart and rap duo Nate & Hila unveiled its unique mobile micro-lounge products and performances.

On the second day, White Reaper, CAAMP and All Time Low were brought to the Huntridge stage. On the Fremont arena are Las Vegas nightclub's most popular cash and Dillon Francis. The city's top music executives, such as Live Nation Las Vegas president Kurt Melien and Tao Group partner Jason Strauss-and Nik Richie-flock to the VIP area of Bacardi Stage to watch Ludacris.

The Downtown Stage performance included the thunderous closing performance of Green Day, where Oakland native Billie Joe Armstrong reprimanded the local audience for "stole my strategy" before Surfaces, Modest Mouse and HAIM.

At the Artists Guest House, Allegiant Stadium General Manager Chris Wright mixed with Live Nation Senior Vice President Amanda Moore and AEG Marketing Director Tiffany Bosman.

On the rising star stage in Downtown Container Park, former music executive Charlie Rocket and viral charity app Dreamr launched Dream Machine Tour at the festival. The plan will give away 1 million U.S. dollars in currency DMR tokens from coast to coast within 45 days to help people realize their dreams. Through the Dream Machine Tour, Musco “King Kell” Adams, a 21-year-old barista and singer-songwriter facing homelessness, got the opportunity to perform in Life is Beautiful. King Kyle covers Sam Cooke's "A Change is Gonna Come" and Bonnie Raitt's "I Can't Make You Love Me". Adams also sang the first studio original song he collaborated with Aloe Blacc, which was recorded only a few days ago with the support of Dream Machine.

Jackie Schimmel's "The Bitch Bible" and "Stiff Socks" live podcast recordings with Trevor Wallace and Michael Blaustein took place on Sunday.

Rihanna even appeared on the Bacardi stage to watch the headlines of her boyfriend A$AP Rocky, while Eilish's competition on the downtown stage set the time to return to the festival after a vibrant debut in 2019 .

Pacha Group CEO Nick McCabe hangs out with friends in the artist’s guest house, talking about the upcoming Pacha Ibiza production show Lio at Bellagio in Las Vegas.

"House of House" Zarnaz Zandi hangs out with Fischer, an Australian record producer performing on the Bacardi stage.

The leaders of Breakthru Beverage Nevada, as well as executives from Pandora, Live Nation and MGM Resorts, as well as casino tycoons such as Derek Stevens watched the closing performance in the luxurious hotel suites overlooking the stage. Ronn Nicolli, vice president of Zouk Group Las Vegas at Resorts World Las Vegas, also attended the weekend, and he officially opened the Zouk nightclub under the headlines of Tiesto.

Since Life Is Beautiful takes place in the heart of the city in downtown Las Vegas, it requires the cooperation of the city, business owners and residents. Unlike Insomniac’s Electric Daisy Carnival held at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and the Goldenvoice’s Day N Vegas hip-hop event held at the Festival Grounds at the corner of Sahara Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard South, Life is Beautiful canvassed tickets on the street and set up on the stage. In the open space.

In a report in 2019, LVCVA calculated that Life Is Beautiful will have an economic impact of US$43.5 million for the community, and it is estimated that there will be "186,550 people, 42,000 of whom are from other places." (In contrast, Electric Daisy Carnival was also cancelled in 2020 and rescheduled to be held from May 2021 to October 2021, with an estimated annual economic impact of more than US$200 million, attracting approximately 450,000 people in three days).

As real estate ownership inevitably changes, so will the footprint. Most of the private land where Life Is Beautiful is located is part of a real estate portfolio owned by entrepreneur and former Zappos head Tony Hsieh, which is now sold after his unexpected death in November 2020. Hsieh did not leave a will.

From street signs to his favorite quotes on the doors of old-fashioned motels all over the area, nod to Xie's influence on events and downtown Las Vegas can be seen everywhere. It was Hsieh's passion for revitalizing downtown Las Vegas that led to his $350 million downtown project fund, which is responsible for supporting startups and promoting community development. He is also one of the top benefactors of Life is Beautiful.

"Everyone misses him and he can feel his influence everywhere," Nieman said. "I am sad that he is not here to be intoxicated, because he likes to see others happy."

Although Nyman said that he does not know whether the venue will eventually be changed, he did share that the team is planning the 2022 festival-scheduled for September 16-18-and will continue to work hard to make life a beautiful Las Vegas One of the top live events in Las Vegas, continues to focus on community empowerment in downtown Las Vegas.

"Ten years ago, it was all abandoned buildings and motels. Now business is booming. We have a responsibility to continue Tony's mission to connect people in a positive way through experience, music, art, and happiness," Nieman said.

He added, “Whether it is the attendees and fans, or the staff working alongside us, the'site' has an indescribable magic, energy and connection that cannot be replicated in any other form.”
