Home » News » Patrick van den Hoeven lets his drivers choose themselvesTransport company annex sand and gravel trade Patrick van den Hoeven from Woerden takes five new Scanias with a 530 hp strong V8 engine into use.The special thing about this is that his drivers were all allowed to choose their own configuration.Except for two conditions: it had to fit the job and none of the five Scanias could be the same.Besides concrete mixers, Patrick van den Hoeven mainly drives his own products, namely sand, gravel, cement and paving materials.Most of it is intended for construction.“What we do a lot is supply the raw materials for companies that build cement screed and liquid-tight liquid floors,” says Patrick about his company.“That starts from a trailer that contains all the raw materials, including the water, and a mixing and pumping installation.These men make the type of cement that is needed on site at the construction site and pump it to the room where the floor is to be built.That can be to a great extent in an apartment building.We have three silos from which these companies obtain their raw materials.But we often have to come back to the construction site halfway through the day to replenish things.But we also supply ready-made concrete, because we also have five mixer trailers.”Anyone who knows Patrick will not be surprised by his choice of V8 engines.“We have been driving no differently for the past 10 years.In my youth I saw Peter Kempen going through the village with a big V8.(That was still Zegveld at the time.)
