Move expands the overall global footprint and strengthens its presence in Australia and Europe

Southern Michigan, November 29, 2021/PRNewswire/ - Clarience Technologies™, the parent company of Truck-Lite®, Road Ready™ advanced telematics and ECCO security systems, acquired Australian commercial truck supplier LED Autolamps in Australia LED lighting solutions for trailers and off-road use sold in, New Zealand and Europe. This acquisition strengthens Clarience Technologies' business outside North America, just as electric and autonomous driving technologies are beginning to transform the global commercial transportation industry.

"The changes in commercial transportation today are driving our customers to think and act on a global scale, and we must respond," said Brian Kupchella, CEO of Clarience Technologies. "LED Autolamps helps us provide technology and support to our growing global customer base, providing them with services anytime, anywhere."

The acquisition includes manufacturing and distribution operations in Australia and Europe, thereby strengthening Clarience Technologies' global presence. LED Autolamps will work with Truck-Lite and ECCO brands to support heavy truck and trailer customers in Australia, New Zealand and Europe.

"Becoming Clarience Technologies has allowed us to join forces with Truck-Lite and many other highly regarded brands to bring new technologies and sales opportunities to both companies," said Tony Ottobre, managing director of LED Autolamps. "As LED car lights are now part of the Clarience family, let me assure customers that you are trustworthy."

The LED car lights are strategically aligned with the global brand series. The LED car lights were launched in 2002, providing a series of reliable after-sales LED products that can bring maximum value to customers. Although the Truck-Lite brand has been sold in Australia for more than 30 years, Truck-Lite and LED Autolamps each serve the market in different ways, which makes LED Autolamps a natural complement to the Truck-Lite brand that provides good services to Clarience Technologies.

"LED Autolamps is an industry leader with a reputation among customers in Australia, New Zealand and Europe, and we are committed to ensuring its continued success in the future," Kupchella said. "They are passionate about growth that brings results, which makes them ideal for the Clarience Technologies brand series."

Building a global technology leader for the future of electric and autonomous driving As automakers begin to manage electric and autonomous driving technologies as a global platform, the geographical differences that once categorized commercial vehicle powertrain technologies have begun to disappear. This acquisition of LED Autolamps showed how Clarience Technologies proactively strengthened its footprint to ensure that it stays in sync with customers around the world.

Clarience Technologies was launched in 2020 by several leading transportation technology brands. The company’s leaders are far-sighted and see the imminent impact of new technologies on transportation. They have long been committed to building a new company and are committed to finding better ways to apply these transformational technologies. Less than 11 months after purchasing ECCO Safety Group (ESG), I purchased LED Autolamps. In short, these acquisitions help to consolidate the company's global brand portfolio and provide a better global sourcing scale.

Last year, Clarience Technologies opened a new global headquarters in Southfield, Michigan—and also the headquarters of its Road Ready advanced telematics business—and established a new global R&D center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
