The Cadillac Escalade has an unmistakable presence, but it’s unrecognizable here as the Rezvani Vengeance.

Looking like a security vehicle designed for escorting third-world dictators, the Vengeance is a military-inspired SUV that features angular lines and bloated bodywork.

The front end is all-new and has a slender grille that is flanked by LED headlights. They’re joined by a ventilated hood with auxiliary lights and an available roof-mounted LED light bar.

Moving further back, we can see pronounced fenders and 22-inch wheels wrapped in 35-inch off-road tires. The greenhouse has also been reduced to a ridiculous degree and this will undoubtedly result in massive blind spots.

Rounding out the highlights is a panoramic sunroof and a unique hands-free power liftgate. The latter lacks a rear window and features a high-mounted light bar.

If you want more than just rugged looks, you can order the $95,000 Military Package that adds armoring as well as bulletproof glass. The package also includes blast protection, run flat tires, a reinforced suspension, and a steel front bumper with an integrated winch as well as hexagonal recovery points.

The package also boasts strobe and blinding lights, an intercom system, a pepper spray dispenser, and electrified door handles. Other highlights include a smoke screen system, a thermal night vision system, gas masks, bulletproof vests and bulletproof helmets.

While the Vengeance looks like a generic movie car, Ferris Rezvani said the “goal was to put a science fiction video game concept car in people’s driveways.” The company also noted the Vengeance’s final design was toned down “in order [to] fit in a garage and be practical, yet out of this world.”

The Escalade roots are clearly visible in the cabin as driver sit behind a heated steering wheel and find themselves looking at a curved OLED display, which consists of a 7.2-inch driver information center, a 14.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a 16.9-inch infotainment system.

Unfortunately, the cabin doesn’t look very luxurious as the Vengeance appears to eschew the Escalade’s wood trim. This gives the interior a bland and clinical look.

In terms of equipment, customers will find 12-way power front seats, a tri-zone automatic climate control system, and a 19-speaker AKG audio system. They’re joined by a wireless smartphone charger, heated front- and second-row seats, and available second-row captain chairs.

A handful of options are available including an executive package that includes two heated, ventilated, and massaging rear seats, a partition, and a “big screen TV.” The $125,000 package also adds Apple iPads, an Apple TV, and an illuminated headliner. For customers who’d rather spend that $125,000 on a new Mercedes S-Class, they can get a $3,500 rear seat entertainment system with dual displays.

Since the Vengeance is based on the Escalade, buyers will find three different engines including a 6.2-liter V8 that develops 420 hp (313 kW / 426 PS) and 460 lb-ft (623 Nm) of torque. Customers can also opt for a 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-six that costs an additional $3,500 and produces 277 hp (207 kW / 281 PS) and 460 lb-ft (623 Nm) of torque.

There’s also a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that costs $85,000 and produces 690 hp (515 kW / 700 PS) and 673 lb-ft (911 Nm) of torque. That’s a bit odd as the Escalade-V’s supercharged 6.2-liter V8 develops 682 hp (509 kW / 691 PS) and 653 lb-ft (884 Nm).

The engines are connected to a ten-speed automatic transmission and can be paired to an optional four-wheel drive system. The company also noted the Vengeance sports Magnetic Ride Control and a limited-slip rear differential.

Rezvani is currently accepting orders and pricing starts at $249,000.
